Star Wars Empire at War is a fun game that is set between the death of the Galactic Republic and the end of, Star Wars Episode IV, it is a RTS game or a real time strategy game, it gives you a view of the battle from overhead and you command the troops that are fighting. This game is like many classic RTS's but has a major difference, that instead of building troops and gathering resources DURING a battle, you actually do that on the galactic map where there are planets, and hyperspace routes, on the planets you may build space stations that you can improve when you get to a higher Tech level (see below) you can also build ground troop producers, you can build tank factories and solider barracks, as well as shield generators, turbo lasers, and resource collectors. There are certain things that advance the game: first, the storyline in which you must accomplish missions for the Rebellion, or Empire, there is Tech level which is gained by either an Imperial research facility (empire) or having the Droids, R2-D2 and C -3PO, steal it from the empire (rebellion). This game has three modes, Campaign, Galactic Conquest, and Skirmish. In Campaign, you are the Rebellion, or the Empire you must gain control of the galaxy and destroy your enemy.   In Galactic Conquest there is a scenario which you must work your way out of. In skirmish you fight a single battle against the enemy in either Space, or land and destroy their base. There are heroes for good there is Captain Antillies, Mon Mothma, R2-D2 and C-3PO, Han Solo, And Chewbacca (the Millennium Falcon in Space), Kyle Katran, Red Squadron, Obi-Wan-Kenobi, and Admiral Akbar. For bad there is Darth Vader, Darth Sidious, Mara Jade, The Death Star, Boba Fett, Captain Piett, and Colonel Veers (AT-AT). This game also has Internet Play abilities, in which you may play people from across the world in a skirmish battle. In Conclusion, this is a great game and worth your money as well as a great game with your friends
